WVMEA is the service and professional organization for music teachers engaged in teaching school music in West Virginia. The active membership includes those teaching on all levels from pre-school through college; in addition there are twelve student chapters throughout the state comprised of college students enrolled in music education. WVMEA is the state affiliate of the National Association for Music Education, a professional organization of over 65,000 members.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CLASS

WVU School of Music will offer a 3-hour Professional Development class for teachers attending the Annual WVMEA In-Service Conference, March 6 – 8, 2025. Teachers must register for the class and the conference. There is a $20.00 fee on the Conference registration form. This professional development credit can be used for license renewal and/or salary upgrade.

Are you a teacher registered for the 2025 WVMEA In-Service Conference?? We’re looking for a few more session presiders on Thursday, March 6 and Friday, March 7 during the conference.

This is a small time commitment. All you need to do is attend the session, introduce the speaker, take a head count of attendees, and answer a brief questionnaire at the end.
